Litigation: Local Counsel

The litigation attorneys at Fox, O’Neill & Shannon, S.C. assist out-of-state companies and individuals who are involved in litigation matters in Eastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee Counties. Our litigation attorneys work with in-house and out-of-state attorneys to ensure that each client is fully and fairly represented in litigation occurring in Eastern Wisconsin. We offer extensive knowledge of local court rules and familiarity with local judicial procedures including pro hac vice admission, judicial substitutions, out-of-state discovery, and electronic filing.

Also, in regard to mediations and arbitrations, our litigators have experience with virtually all of the individuals who regularly work as mediators and arbitrators in Eastern Wisconsin.

A former partner and member of our litigation team, Judge Jeffrey A. Kremers, is currently the Chief Judge of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Bruce C. O’Neill has practiced in the local courts and the Eastern District of Wisconsin for over 30 years. He is a Court Commissioner in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, and was a clerk for a former Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Michael J. Hanrahan has tried dozens of cases in the courts in Milwaukee County and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Mr. Hanrahan previously worked at an insurance defense firm before joining FOS.

Matthew W. O’Neill has extensive litigation practice over a 20 year period. He formerly clerked for the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is currently the President of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association.

All of the litigation counsel are AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. All three litigators have extensive connections throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area, having been born and raised families in Milwaukee. Bruce O’Neill and Matt O’Neill have also been designated Super Lawyers in Milwaukee Magazine in the commercial litigation category for many years.
